Dr. Eugen von Keller , 56, has lived and worked in Japan and China for over 10 years. As Head of the Asian offices of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants – the leading Consulting Firm of European origin - he gained first hand experiences of the dramatic changes from the times of the Asian crisis to China's fast ascent as the world's leading manufacturing hub of the world.
He advised and worked together with large Chinese State owned companies as well as multinational corporations from Europe, Japan and the US, Chinese Government institutions, Chinese entrepreneurs and Private Equity Firms. He developed market entry and expansion strategies, re-organisation plans and supported Chinese and multinational clients with M&A advise and due diligence. As a board member in two Private Equity firms and an investor on his own account he understands the opportunities and perils of investing in China. Through extensive travelling in all provinces of China, as well in remote areas, he has as well developed a deeper insight into China's socio-economic challenges.
Before his assignment in Asia, Dr von Keller was over many years involved as an advisor in the privatization and economic transformation process in several Central and Eastern European countries. As a graduate of the Geneva law school and lecturer at the St. Gallen Management University he has written a book and articles on Cross Cultural Management and Private Equity in China, Privatization and Management. He is a regular column writer in Chinese newspapers and a speaker on international conferences on China related topics. His private interests include Chinese Art and Music.
