John D. Van Fleet designs and delivers content-rich, integrated, business-specific short-term China study programs for overseas academic institutions, governments and industry. Relying in part on his faculty positions at the business schools of Shanghai JiaoTong University and Shanghai University, in part on his more than ten years of China-specific business experience, Van Fleet’s programs guarantee that participants gain profound new insights into the early 21st century’s most compelling business environment.
From summer 2003 to summer 2006, John D. Van Fleet served as Director of the premier executive MBA in North Asia, a collaboration between the Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California, and the Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai JiaoTong University. He is now adjunct faculty and senior adviser at the Antai College, and operates a consultancy serving overseas universities who seek greater interaction with China.
A 15-year resident of East Asia, with the most recent five being in
Shanghai, Van Fleet has written about education and marketing for a
number of China-based and international media, and is a regular
speaker on these subjects. He holds an undergraduate degree in
literature and an MBA, both from the University of Southern
California.
