Missing: the internet and the middle class consumers
I have been telling a bit about the direction request for speakers from our speakers bureau are taking. What surprises me quite a lot is that some subjects that I consider to be hot have not yet seen any takers.
First, there is the internet in China. When you need a focus point to define change in China, you inevitably end up at the internet. With 172 million internet users this technology is defining the direction this country is taking.
Second, the middle class of consumers in China. It is a hotly debated subject among the China experts, but has not led to any speaking engagements in this field.
A pity, since we have a nice selection of speakers, who can cover both subjects. Now, the first storms of the launch and the initial panic-assignments are over, we should more develop into coaches of our clients. I think. There seems to be some room for such a role.
